Band of Brothers is the 10-part HBO miniseries based on the lives of members of E for Easy Company of the 101st Airborne US Army Division that became famous for being the first American paratrooper unit. The series follows the unit's exploits and the lives of individual soldiers from training in 1942 to the invasion of Normandy on D-Day (June 6, 1944) through the end of World War II in 1945.
